竹鹽,是源自約1300年前韓國傳統寺廟的獨特製鹽技術。直到1988年,一位僧人首次將竹鹽製程公開,並傳授給工廠,這項古老智慧才得以工業化量產,並逐漸流傳至民間,成為韓國現代貴族推崇的傳統養生鹽。

竹鹽的製程極為講究——將天然日曬鹽(俗稱「天日鹽」)填入竹筒中,以黃土製的窯爐,使用松柴為燃料,在高達1200至1500°C的高溫中反覆烘烤。此過程不僅有效去除鹽中可能含有的有毒物質與重金屬,更能使鹽吸收來自竹子與松柴燃燒後釋出的多種微量礦物元素,進而賦予竹鹽獨特的營養價值。

也因這樣嚴謹且傳統的製程,竹鹽被韓國人視為「天賜的禮物」,是結合自然、文化與養生智慧的珍貴鹽品。
